The Dallas–Fort Worth area added about 46,800 jobs over the past year (as of May 2025), though growth has recently cooled, pushing the metro out of the top 10 U.S. job markets. The city of Dallas reports a 4 % unemployment rate as of July 2025, slightly lower than state and national averages. Also, data-center expansion is booming—DFW’s data center market is expected to double by 2026, fueled by AI and cloud demand.
